Pakistan will begin the tournament on February 19 against New Zealand, followed by a match against India on February 23 in Dubai.

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has expressed confidence that Pakistan will be a serious threat in home conditions during the 2025 Champions Trophy. He was supported by legendary Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting, who stated that the team has a strong chance of reaching the semi-finals.

Pakistan has been placed in a group with India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. The team has had successful series against Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa, but questions remain about its lineup, as the absence of Saim Ayub could affect performance.

Shastri emphasized that Pakistan has squad depth, especially in fast bowling, making them a dangerous opponent. Ponting, in turn, noted that the team’s success would depend on the form of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
