Rory McIlroy: Golf Legend Set to Take on India
A lavish $5 million tournament awaits top golf stars.
The legendary Delhi Golf Club will host a grand $5 million DP World Tour event in October. Four-time major champion Rory McIlroy could be the headliner.
The new tournament, scheduled for October 13-19, is set to be the most prestigious event in Indian golf history. The agreement between the DP World Tour and the club includes a three-year partnership. Club captain Vikram Seth says McIlroy’s participation will be a real breakthrough for the country.
Renovated after a 2019 renovation under the leadership of legend Gary Player, the club is preparing to welcome the world’s best players. The DP World Tour will also give Indian athletes a chance to compete against the elite on home turf.
