India needs to rethink its priorities to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past.

Is India ready for the Champions Trophy 2025? Legendary spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has doubts. In his show 'Ash Ki Baat', he harshly criticized the selection of players, comparing the squad to the 2023 World Cup template.

"The starting seven lacks left-handed batsmen. Only Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant are outside the XI," Ashwin said. In his opinion, Jaiswal, who is in excellent form, deserves a chance to play. "He should be tested against England. If he scores two centuries in a row, it will change the squad's balance," he added.

Ashwin also questioned the advisability of selecting three spinners, considering the effect of dew in Dubai. He believes Nitish Reddy could be a key player. “It would be wiser to add another fast bowler instead of a spinner,” he concluded.
