Pakistan Loses Fakhar Zaman Ahead of Crucial India Match

Fakhar Zaman’s injury deals a major blow to Pakistan before the key clash with India.
Pakistan suffered a major setback ahead of their crucial match against India in the Champions Trophy. Opening batsman Fakhar Zaman sustained a chest muscle injury during the game against New Zealand in Karachi. Following the injury, Zaman was unable to open the innings and batted at No. 4, scoring just 24 runs off 41 balls while visibly struggling.
Imam-ul-Haq has replaced the 34-year-old player. Zaman, averaging 46 in 86 ODIs, expressed his disappointment but vowed to support the team: “This is only the beginning. The comeback will be stronger than the setback.”
After a 60-run loss to New Zealand, Pakistan must now defeat India to keep their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive.
