Sciver-Brunt's all-round performance was the key to success against Gujarat Giants.

Nat Sciver-Brunt showcased a phenomenal all-round performance, helping the Mumbai Indians (MI) secure their first win in the Women's Premier League 2025. MI defeated the Gujarat Giants (GG) by five wickets at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.

Batting first, GG managed to score only 120. Hayley Matthews delivered a stellar bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for 16 runs. Nat Sciver-Brunt also shone by claiming crucial wickets of Beth Mooney and Ash Gardner. GG's top scorer was Harleen Deol with 32 runs.

In response, MI chased the target in 16.1 overs. Sciver-Brunt scored an unbeaten 57, hitting 11 fours. Amelia Kerr contributed 19 runs, while Sajeevan Sajana wrapped up the match, sealing the victory.

With this win, MI climbed to second place in the standings. GG, suffering their second defeat, must deliver stronger performances to stay in the top three.
