Manjrekar: AB de Villiers Didn’t Thrive at RCB

AB de Villiers is the seventh-highest run-scorer in IPL history, with only Virat Kohli having more runs than him for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, according to the former Indian cricketer, it was the 'wrong franchise' for de Villiers, which is why he was unable to realize his full potential in the tournament.

Manjrekar believes that de Villiers was not utilized to his full potential in the IPL. "His real potential was not utilized to its full potential. We were not able to get what we could have from him in the IPL," he said. He also stressed that if AB had played for a different team, we would have seen the full extent of his game.

Manjrekar attributes this lack of a title to de Villiers's account to the fact that he played in a team that was unable to maximize his talents.
