Kapil Dev suggests developing golf in lesser-known cities and admires the high achievements of young players.

Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) President Kapil Dev announced a series of 11 tournaments to be held in the first half of the year. The press conference at the Delhi Golf Club was attended by Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, PGTI executives and sponsors.

The ₹1 crore tournament, to be held from February 25 to 28 at the picturesque Fairway Golf and Lake Resort in Naya Raipur, will be one of the key events. PGTI CEO Amandeep Jhol said the venue will attract players and spectators from all over the world.

The season will kick off on February 11 in Kolkata, with Naya Raipur hosting the third tournament. A total of ₹35 crore will be up for grabs over 11 weeks, including the Hero Indian Open in Gurugram with a prize pool of $2.25 million.
