Jaspratt Bumrah has been nominated for the ICC Player of the Month award for December. He was a key player for India in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar series, taking 22 wickets at an average of 14.22 in December. In the series as a whole, Bumrah took 32 wickets in five Tests.
His best performances came in the Brisbane and Melbourne Tests, where he took 9 wickets each, helping India significantly against Australia. However, he was unable to play in the final Test in Sydney due to back spasms that forced him to undergo a medical.
"Disappointed to miss this match. Sometimes you have to listen to your body," said Bumrah.
