India vs Syria: Mandiri U20 Challenge Series Kicks Off
India U20 to kick off Mandiri Challenge Series against Syria: Youth ready for the challenge!
The India U20 team will open their Mandiri U20 Challenge Series campaign against Syria on Friday, January 24, 2025, at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo. The match will kick off at 2:30 PM IST.
The team, led by head coach Bibi Thomas, comprised mostly of players born in 2007-2008, arrived in Surabaya on Wednesday and held their first training session at the Gelora 10 November Stadium. The Indians will also face Jordan on January 27 and host Indonesia on January 30.
Despite their young squad, the Indian team is experienced. Twelve players participated in the victorious SAFF U17 Championship 2024, while midfielders Gurnaj Singh Grewal and Malenggamba Singh Thokchom played in the U17 and U20 Asian Championships.
