Harmanpreet Kaur Joins Elite Club with 8000 WT20 Runs

Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of Mumbai Indians (MI) Women, has added another remarkable feat to her career. She became the second Indian batter to score over 8,000 runs in Women's T20 matches.
In the opening match of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 against Delhi Capitals (DC) Women at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara, Harmanpreet showed her batting brilliance. Batting alongside Nat Sciver-Brunt, the female athlete unleashed a series of stunning shots, smashing four consecutive boundaries off Annabel Sutherland in the 11th over.
Although she fell eight runs short of a half-century, those explosive strokes were enough to push her past the 8,000-run mark, joining Smriti Mandhana in this exclusive club.
Harmanpreet's impressive performance in the WPL 2024 and her contribution to MI's inaugural WPL title solidify her as a key player. Her continued success in the WPL 2025 could play a vital role in MI's title defense.
