Could New Faces Make It to India's Champions Trophy Squad?
Which players have a chance of making it to the Indian squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy? Abhishek Sharma, Harshit Rana, and Nitish Kumar Reddy could be the surprise favorites!
The Indian team has announced its squad for the Champions Trophy, but there is still a chance of changes before it is finalized. India can make adjustments to the squad as the list is provisional. The last date to submit the final squad to the ICC is February 11. In case of health issues or unforeseen circumstances, some players can be replaced.
Three players who could still make it to the Indian squad:
- Abhishek Sharma-Batar, who impressed in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scored 467 runs at 130.44. Sharma can be a backup to replace another batsman.
- Harshit Rana is a pacer who played well on his debut in Australia. If Jasprit Bumrah is not ready for the tournament, Rana can be a backup.
- Nitish Kumar Reddy is an all-rounder who has done well in Australia. He can be a good replacement for Hardik Pandya if he gets injured.
