Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was included in the provisional squad for the World Cup, but his participation has yet to be confirmed. Bumrah has not played for India since the beginning of the year following a series of Test matches in Australia. During the fifth Test in January, he was unable to take the field due to back issues, which affected the match's outcome.
Although Bumrah was named to the provisional World Cup squad, he was not selected for the home series against England due to incomplete recovery from his injury.
