BCCI's New Rules: Boost or Barrier for India's Champions Trophy Run?

Starting February 20, the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, will kick off their ICC Champions Trophy campaign with a match against Bangladesh. However, the 2025 tournament will test the players and the new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) introduced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The new rules cover aspects such as restrictions on personal staff, family visits, and a complete ban on participating in advertising campaigns during the tournament. All players must also travel strictly by team buses. Hyderabad Cricket Association manager Devraj will oversee compliance with these guidelines.
While BCCI aims to ensure discipline and team cohesion, the changes have raised concerns. For instance, limiting family visits may affect players’ mental well-being. Will these measures help India succeed or ultimately hinder their chances in the battle for the title?
