Who is The Best Fielder in IND vs BAN Champions Trophy Match?

India continued the tradition of awarding the best fielder medal at the Champions Trophy 2025 following their 6-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the tournament opener on February 20 in Dubai. 

After Mohammed Shami’s five-wicket haul, Bangladesh was bowled out for 228, and Shubman Gill’s unbeaten century guided India to victory with 21 balls to spare. The tradition of awarding the best fielder medal, introduced by fielding coach T. Dilip at the 2023 World Cup, returned, with every match in the Champions Trophy now having a winner. 

After the match, Dilip commended the fielding effort and highlighted the challenges of catching in the Dubai conditions. He then mentioned three standout players: Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shubman Gill. The medal was presented by Ravindra Jadeja, and the winner was revealed on the giant screen as KL Rahul, who took three crucial catches.
