Tiger Woods’ debut in the TGL virtual golf league drew more than a million viewers, up 9% from last week’s first match and surpassing the NBA’s viewership on TNT.
Despite his team Jupiter Links Golf Club’s 12-1 loss to Los Angeles Golf Club, the recent match was a significant moment for the new league. It was also Woods’ first competitive appearance since his disappointing performance at the Open Championship last July.
Woods' team will get a chance for revenge on January, 27 when they face Boston Common Golf, Rory McIlroy's team. The TGL regular season runs through March 4, followed by playoffs.
