Nitish Reddy: Historic Hundred in Indian Cricket
Young Indian cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy has been praised by cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar for his impressive unbeaten century in the Melbourne Test. The 21-year-old Reddy scored 105 runs to help India avoid a repeat and keep their hopes of winning alive. Gavaskar described the feat as one of the greatest in Indian cricket history, stressing that the moment will be a milestone in the young player's career.
Reddy, who came off the sixth over, put on a record-breaking 127-run partnership with Washington Sundar (50 runs). Gavaskar believes that if Reddy stays true to himself and remembers the sacrifices made by his family, he will have a successful career ahead of him. "This is just his first hundred and he will score many more," Gavaskar added.
