India Beat England to Reach U19 World Cup Final
The Indian U19 cricket team comfortably defeated England in the Women's T20 World Cup semi-final at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. The nine-wicket win secured them a second successive final, where they will face South Africa.
England started strongly by reaching 73/2 at half-time thanks to quick knocks from Davina Perrin (45 off 40 balls) and captain Abigail Norgrove (30 off 25). However, India's bowlers, such as Parunika Sisodia and Ayush Shukla, turned the tide of the game. Shukla dismissed key opponents and Vaishnavi Sharma took three wickets in the 16th over to restrict England to 113 runs.
India started the chase strongly, scoring 44 runs in the powerplay without loss. Trisha Gongadi (35 off 29) and Kamalini Ji completed the innings in the 15th over to secure a 9-wicket win. Parunika Sisodia was named Player of the Match for her figures of 3/14.
