India vs England: Injuries, substitutions and new hopes! Read about the surprises of the second T20I match.

In the second T20I between India and England in Chennai, India captain Suryakumar Yadav announced two forced changes. Washington Sundar and Dhruv Jurel replaced the injured Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy. India won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami’s return to the field was delayed once again. Despite practicing in the nets, the team decided not to include him, leaving Arshdeep Singh as the only specialist pacer.

Rinku Singh will miss two matches due to a back spasm, and Nitish Kumar Reddy is ruled out because of a side strain. However, Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh will join the squad from the third match.

A key boost for India is the return of Abhishek Sharma, who has recovered from an ankle injury. His inclusion in Chennai is crucial after his Player of the Match performance in Kolkata.

India’s playing XI: Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Dhruv Jurel, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy.
